WIG specializes in the maintenance and repair of industrial plants. In 2004, WIG became part of the ThyssenKrupp Group in the ThyssenKrupp Industrieservices GmbH division. The company specializes in the maintenance, inspection and repair of machines and systems, for disassembly, reassembly and new assembly as well as for internal logistics and waste disposal. In 2009, ThyssenKrupp Industrieservices GmbH was taken over by WISAG, based in Frankfurt/Main.
