RADO produces high-quality specialty rubber compounds for the automotive and household appliance industries. The company has made a name for itself as a specialist in rubber compounds that prevent gas leaks in car engines and can withstand large temperature fluctuations. Of the 800 rubber recipes that RADO has available, the company has developed 600 itself.

As part of a buyback by the majority shareholder, Hannover Finanz divested its minority stake in RADO in February 2026. The company is to be transferred in its entirety to a foundation.
